| Techtextil and Avantex How strongly is the technical textiles sector growing? What course will functional clothing follow in the future? You'll find the answers to these questions at Techtextil and Avantex in Frankfurt am Main from 12 to 14 June 2007, where exhibitors will be demonstrating their creativity and know-how as well as presenting innovations and all-new product developments. The international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens will feature this innovative sector in all its diversity and is perceived as a deliverer of functional concepts and solutions. Avantex, the International Forum for Innovative Apparel Textiles, being held simultaneously, offers participants an added benefit by providing Techtextil exhibitors and visitors with access to Avantex target groups, primarily designers and ready-to-wear manufacturers. Conversely, Avantex will benefit from Techtextil's wide-ranging exhibitor structure, quite apart from the practical advantages, from a visitor's point of view, of being able to attend both events at the same place and time. Together, the two fairs form an effective marketing, communications and business platform thanks to their user-orientated concepts. Techtextil suppliers represent the entire technical textiles value-added chain and are divided into ten product groups: research, development, planning, consultation; technology, machinery, accessories; woven fabrics, laid webs, braidings, knitted fabrics; nonwovens; coated textiles; composites; Bondtec; associations; publishers. The twelve areas of application which constitute the Techtextil target groups are the key to business success: Agrotech (horticulture and landscape gardening, agriculture and forestry, livestock farming); Buildtech (membrane construction, lightweight and solid structures, civil engineering and industrial building, temporary construction, interior design, earthworks, waterway and road construction, agricultural construction); Clothtech (clothing and shoes); Geotech (structural engineering, road-building, dam-building, waste-site construction). Hometech (furniture, upholstered furniture, interior furnishings, carpets, flooring), Indutech (filtration, cleaning, mechanical engineering, the chemical /electrical industry); Medtech (hygiene, medicine), Mobiltech (cars, ships, planes, railways and space travel); Oekotech (environmental protection, recycling, waste disposal); Packtech (packaging, protective packaging systems, bags, big bags, storage systems); Protech (personal/property protection); Sporttech (sport and leisure, activewear, outdoor, sports goods and equipment, sports shoes). The Techtextil Symposium, a parallel event, will offer suppliers, consumers and experts from research, technology and industry a series of lectures, presentations and discussion forums on innovative topics. The Techtextil Innovation Prize honours outstanding, innovative and unusual achievements in the field of research, material and product development and new technology. In addition, the Student Competition, sponsored by the TensiNet Federation and Techtextil, will honour new ideas and concepts based on the theme "Textile Structures for New Building". The public will have the opportunity to see the award-winning work at a series of special shows. Whether 'smart textiles' featuring integrated electronics or 'intelligent textiles', whose interactive effects are man- and environment-dependent, the Avantex concept consistently focuses on the high-tech when it comes to apparel textiles. As a result, Avantex is the first platform of its kind to offer an interdisciplinary dialogue, whilst simultaneously promoting revolutionary developments and visionary concepts. The exhibitor spectrum is divided into ten product groups: Research/Development/Consulting, Textile Technology, Fibres and Yarns, Textile Surfaces and Membranes, Textile Finishing, High-Tech in Clothing, Innovative Clothing, Textile Care, Trade Associations and Publishing Companies. On the visitor side, four areas of application have been classified: Fashion (the latest trends, current standards and entertainment aplenty); Sports (comfort, functionality and protection with respect to a wide range of activities), Healthcare (all the latest from the fields of medicine, wellness, prevention and care) and Workwear (innovations in safety and comfortable protection for the world of work). The fringe programme includes the Avantex Symposium and the Avantex Innovation Prize. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
