| SkogsElmia 2007 The Swedish forestry industry is currently enjoying a commercially buoyant period. Largest forestry fair in the World, SkogsElmia 31 May - 2 June. This makes SkogsElmia even more interesting also for visitors from the other side of the Baltic Sea. A lot of groundbreaking news can be expected - one of them being a combined harvester and forwarder, which have been developed within a new concept for more efficient and more economical machines. An increased use of bio fuels is another explanation as to why the Swedish forestry industry is going so well. Most of the raw materials are collected from the woods and purpose built, efficient machinery is developed. Sweden is also an importer of bio fuels, which makes their machines twice as interesting in other countries, both in terms of meeting domestic demands, but also for export to Sweden among others. As a result of this, prices on forest property in Sweden has reach new record levels, and previously passive forest owners in the cities have started to get engaged with the management of their pieces of forest. A majority of private forest owners have so far left the administration to forest owners' associations and the like. This is a development that will be noticed at the fair, as a growing number of exhibitors will participate from the finance industry, the education sector and other adjacent areas. Elmia's forest fairs are held out in the woods, in real environments with the machines working and producing. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
