| Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition and Forum The upcoming inaugural Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition and Forum (BRIDEX) 2007 is set to see a gathering of over 90 exhibitors including several leading manufacturers from 17 countries. Aside from providing a venue for defence manufacturers and suppliers - regionally and globally - to exhibit and promote their latest products, BRIDEX 2007 also aims to explore the potentials of establishing defence business ventures and developing the local defence industry. The forum will showcase 13 international speakers presenting their talks and with the objectives of creating interactive discussions among experts, government officials, academicians and members of the private sector on selected topics related to defence and security. A signing ceremony for seven participating exhibitors took place yesterday at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong, where Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Dato Paduka Hj Mustappa Hj Sirat, was in attendance to witness the event. In a press release, MINDEF as the host of BRIDEX disclosed that the participants from Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, the UK and US would be exhibiting as well as promoting their latest products and services. The seven organisations represented at yesterday's ceremony meanwhile were BAG Networks Sdn Bhd, Defence Equipment Services Organisation, MMS Tekad Engineering Company, Royal Brunei Technical Services, Singapore Technologies Group, Sri Sentosa Sdn Bhd and Thales International (B) Sdn Bhd. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
