| Central Asian Healthcare Exhibition – KIHE 2007 The biggest Central Asian Healthcare Exhibition – KIHE 2007, to be held in Almaty between 16-19 May for the fourteenth time, will display the best advancements in medical products made by domestic and foreign companies. KIHE 2007 will represent over 180 companies from 20 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and USA. It should be noted that one third of all exhibitors will represent medical equipment. Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2007 will be held in Pavilion 11 of the Atakent Exhibition Centre. The total area of the occupied by the exhibition will exceed 5, 000 sq. m, which is a 25% increase on last year's event. Bavarian companies from Germany show unfailing interest in the exhibition. Their national stand will represent 13 Bavarian companies at Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2007. Every year, the international presence at the exhibition has grown stronger. While last year the Spanish medical industry was represented by the Spanish Federation of Medical and Technological Companies (FENIN), this year the Spanish national stand at KIHE will host 16 companies. Brazil and China will set out their national stands at the exhibition for the first time. The sustained interest shown by visitors to the exhibition (some 8, 000 healthcare specialists visit the exhibition every year) is explained by the variety of exhibits displayed by both domestic and new international companies and manufacturers. The business programme of the exhibition, which will comprise topical workshops and various presentations, will also be focused on professionals. Moreover, specialists will have a chance to make new contracts. The organisers of the Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2007 are Iteca, an exhibition company based in Kazakhstan, and its international partners: ITE Group Plc (UK), GIMA (Germany), EUF (Turkey), PrimExpo (Russia), and ITE China (China). In addition, as a result of an audit, KIHE 2006 was approved by the World Association of the Exhibition Industry (Union des Foires Internationales, UFI) and was granted the UFI Certificate.
