| Light Middle East Light Middle East, the region's premier exhibition and conference for the lighting industry, looks set to inspire new creative standards when it opens its doors in Dubai on May 13th. The 2007 edition, which is the region's star industry event, already has an illuminating line-up of international and local exhibitors guaranteed to light up the UAE-based show. The exhibition and conference is also heralded as an 'essential, regional networking opportunity' for the Middle East's architects, lighting designers, interior designers and various industry experts, from both local and international markets. Light Middle East, which has always enjoyed unprecedented success, has doubled in size since last year and the 2007 edition will be attended by over 170 companies from more than 20 countries, making it the most successful to date. The event's success in Dubai, and its significant growth say Messe Frankfurt, the organisers, is symptomatic of the boom in the wider Gulf region, which is now worth more than an estimated $1 trillion in terms of construction projects alone. The region has become a hub for innovative architecture, technological creativity and design. Light Middle East 2007 is being sponsored by world's lighting manufacturer, Osram, while Philips, Kreon, Wila, Martin Professional and Fiberpros are on the Light Middle East advisory board and are firm supporters of the International lighting pioneers, Philips is one of the show's leading exhibitors. The company, which will be re-affirming their commitment to architectural lighting, will be featuring exhibits from several top architects and lighting designers at the show.exhibition.
