| Aquarama 2007 After several successful editions at Singapore Expo – each surpassing the previous one – Aquarama is ready to take another major step in its ongoing evolution with the decision to move the 2007 event to a new venue: Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. AQ '07 to be held between 24-27 May, 2007. While Singapore Expo is, undoubtedly, a very good venue which has served Aquarama well in recent years, Suntec Singapore offers several important advantages. For a start, it is situated in the heart of Singapore Central Business District (CBD) and is, consequently, more easily accessible. It also offers direct access to 5, 200 hotel rooms, 1, 000 retail outlets, 300 restaurants and the region's new centre for the performing arts: Esplanades – Theatres on the Bay. In addition, will take up the entire level 6 of the centre, consisting of Halls 601 to 603, it will not have to share all its access points with other events held at the same time, and on the same level, as used to happen at Singapore Expo. The new halls also offer 10, 600 sqm of gross floor space – some 600 sqm more than were available at Singapore Expo. Although a second event, the World Book Fair, will be taking place at Suntec Singapore at the same time as Aquarama (concurrent shows are practically inevitable at the major exhibition venues in a city like Singapore), it will be held on an entirely different floor of the exhibition centre. In any case, the presence of this other show is not seen as a disadvantage by CMP Asia Trade Fairs Pte. Ltd., the Aquarama organisers. On the contrary, the book fair is seen as offering Aquarama the exciting opportunity of attracting more children to the show during the public days, thus helping to introduce them to the fascinating and colourful world of aquarium keeping. To encourage such visits, the admission fee for children below 12 years of age will therefore be waived. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
