| Interzum 2007 What was indicated in the preparations is now being realized: interzum 2007 will once again live up to its reputation in all respects as the world's leading trade fair for the furniture industry's and interior design sector's suppliers. From 9th to 12th May 2007, the Cologne exhibition halls will be transformed into a genuine spectacle of innovations, the first indications of this were already evident in the entries submitted by the exhibitors for the interzum Award and Hit guide. Many exhibitors have announced that they will be presenting their worldwide new products and innovations for the first time at interzum. With over 1, 300 exhibitors from 60 countries, not only the exhibitor figures have increased, the volume of rented stand space has also grown in comparison to the 2005 event by almost 10 percent. As is customary with interzum, the participation of foreign exhibitors will reach an outstandingly high level, namely 75 percent. The largest foreign contingents come from Italy, the USA, Turkey, Spain, Austria, Belgium and France. Over 50, 000 visitors from all over the world are expected. In addition to the market leaders, many smaller and medium-sized companies have also registered their participation in all segments of the fair such as the sectors covering fittings, surfaces, timber-derived products, natural materials, upholstery materials and machines. This guarantees the well-known diversity and breadth of product range as presented by interzum. The new Halls 7 and 8, which are located at the new Northern Entrance and reserved for the international fittings industry and suppliers of light components and complete lighting systems, are now fully booked. Renowned exhibitors include among others: Hettich, Blum, Häfele, Formenti, Grass, Mepla - Alfit and Samet. Hall 6 concentrates exhibitors from the wood and composite materials industry as well as decorative surfaces sector, including all participants in the value-added chain. Well-known exhibitors in this sector include the following: Pfleiderer, Kaindl, Resopal, Formica, Schattdecor, Impress, Süddekor, Interprint and Lamigraf.
