| International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition 2007, co-organized by Medical Department of General Logistics Department, Chinese People′s Liberation Army, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd., China Hui Tong Corporation, and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd., will be held at China International Exhibition Center from April 22 to 24, 2007, in Beijing. The 4-day event boosted an exhibition area of over 30, 000 square meters, 595 domestic and overseas exhibitors, and over 60, 000 visitors, with an on-site transaction amount reaching USD 60 million. The six major national pavilions from Germany, US, Japan, Spain, Finland and South Korea gathered at the same venue, presenting their state-of-the-art medical equipment and apparatuses, and inviting domestic distributors or agents, arousing extensive interests among trade visitors. It is reported that China Med 2007 will become another eye catcher with unending highlights. Aiming at innovation and growth, the organizers have been exploring new highlights from the organizational work during recent years, as well as the feedbacks from the exhibitors and buyers. The theme of China Med 2007 is preliminarily established as "inspection". The organizers are making active preparations for academic activities focusing on this theme. In addition, based on the successful debut of the Special Hall for Medical Consumables during last event, large equipment enterprises participating in the last event will present themselves in different zones as a whole, and at the same time, another three major special zones will be debuted, namely, the Special Zone for Orthopaedic Consumables Products, Special Zone for Family Rehabilitation Physiotherapy and Healthcare Products, Special Zone for Products for the Handicapped and the Elderly. According to the latest news from domestic and overseas exhibitors, many major exhibitors and those with customized booths at last China Med have requested to participate in China Med 2007, including well-known brand names such as Siemens, GE, Philips, Toshiba, Sysmex, Nison Instrument (Shanghai) Limited, Kodak, Hitachi and Shimadzu, etc. In addition, many medium and small sized oversea enterprises are planning to expand their exhibition areas at China Med 2007 in order to exhibit their corporate images. Well-known domestic brands including Huilong, Sanyite, Weilong, Yuyue, Weili, Pulang, Chenwei, etc., will also present themselves in a powerful lineup. With regard to the national and regional pavilions, besides six major national pavilions which participated in the last event, the medical equipment manufactures from Russia and Egypt, a mysterious ancient country, are also actively organizing their pavilions expecting to make a hit on the grounds of China Med. In the domestic exhibition areas, regional pavilions from South China, East China, high-tech industry zones, Beijing and Tianjin, etc., will be presented. Special zones for physiological examination, nonnasality and medical furniture will also be set up for domestic exhibitors in order to display their products in a more professional manner, and meanwhile to facilitate the visit by trade visitors. In terms of professional buyers, the organizing committee will continue to organize all presidents and procurement department directors of various hospitals under Chinese People′s Liberation Army, to visit the trade fair and conduct on-site bid invitation.
