| Macfrut 2007 The international fruit and vegetable industry is on display at Macfrut 2007, the exhibition organised by Cesena Fiera which will be held in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, from 26 to 28 April. The showcase event, which will take place in an exhibition space of 30, 000 square metres divided into around 700 stands, will be a vital meeting place for the whole fruit and vegetable sector, a key industry in Italy's agricultural economy, given that Italy is the leading producer of fruit and vegetables in the 27-state European Union and accounts for over 25% of total production amongst EU countries. Thanks to the opening in 2006 of an International Office, which coordinates exchanges with similar exhibitions in the four corners of the globe with the specific aim of increasing the number of foreign visitors and exhibitors, Macfrut 2007 emphasizes its role as an 'international exhibition'. In fact, the internationalisation of markets and business opportunities is one of the guiding themes of the Cesena exhibition, thanks also to a series of collaborative projects organised with extra-European producers (China, Morocco, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Argentina and Brazil) and over 250 bilateral agreements among the foreign delegations already scheduled into the 2007 calendar. However, Macfrut 2007 will also provide a comprehensive overview of the latest news in the field of fruit and vegetable production and processing. Producers, consortia, companies dedicated to the development of new cultivars, organic producers or those specialising in the application of technological research to all the phases of production, harvesting and conservation of fruit and vegetable produce; these will be the main attractions at the 2007 exhibition, together with a packed schedule of conferences, meetings and workshops dedicated to the sector's most relevant and topical themes. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
