| Automechanika Istanbul  Automechanika Istanbul, the regional trade fair for Automotive Manufacturing, Distribution and Repair, will open its doors at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Centre April 19 – 22, 2007 in Istanbul, Turkey. Organised every two years by two of the world's exhibition companies, Messe Frankfurt and Hannover Messe, Automechanika Istanbul is one of the largest fairs in the worldwide Automechanika group. In 2007, Automechanika Istanbul is expecting a 10% growth in visitor and exhibitor figures. With the addition of a new hall, the organizers will be able to accommodate more exhibitors and present a broader array of products to professional visitors for product groups.The Turkish economy has shown solid growth in the past few years and increased its exports by folds, reduced inflation and stabilized its currency. This positive development paved the way for stable foreign trade and sustainable economic growth. Reaching its highest peak ever, the Turkish automotive industry has increased its motor vehicle exports to $5.7 billion and is now ranked number one on the Turkish exports list. Automechanika Istanbul 2007 will also continue to be held parallel with Petroleum Istanbul, the international trade fair for upstream and downstream equipment, technology and services. This combination of fairs enlarges the scope and variety of professional visitors and offers deeper industry insight. At Petroleum Istanbul 2007, the focus is on innovation as well, with a special feature exhibition on natural gas and related equipment. Automechanika Istanbul 2007 and Petroleum Istanbul 2007 are supported by the major Turkish and international industrial associations and carry their tasks of uniting the members and strengthening the business oppotunities forward to new regions and industry sectors.
