| International Tourism Show International Tourism Show in Catalonia, SITC, which will be held from the 19th to the 22nd of April 2007 in Fira de Barcelona's Montjuïc exhibition centre. Argentina will be the Guest Country at the International Tourism Show. Argentine tourist activity has become established in recent years as one of the pillars of the country's economy and as a tool of social and cultural development and transformation. The 35 protected natural areas cover a total of 3, 621, 513 hectares, which account for 1.3 % of the country's total territory. There the tourist can enjoy genuine contact with nature. Argentina also has numerous enclaves which have been declared as natural and cultural heritage sites of humanity by UNESCO. According to estimates, the next International Tourism Show in Catalonia will have approximately direct and indirect 1, 500 exhibitors, 50, 000 square metres of gross exhibition space and the representation of more than 75 countries and all the Spanish Autonomous Communities.
