From the 10th to 13th of April, 2007 in Sokolniki Exhibition Centre there will be held A-TESTex (Analitika), the 5th Anniversary International specialized exhibition of analytic equipment, laboratory furniture and chemical reagents. Today thousands of chemical analytic laboratories carry out research for various fields of national economy. Analytic chemistry has been considered for a long time as a science about succession of chemical analysis operations starting with selection and preliminary sample preparation to analyses with making subsequent analysis proper, registering and processing analytic signal, collecting, storing and transferring obtained information to the user.

A-TESTex (Analitika) is a reflection of perspective tendencies in chemical analyses and analytic chemistry development. It has already become traditional and it is a demonstration of new achievements in analytic chemistry, instrument engineering, chemical metrology and allied fields of knowledge.

The exhibition subjects touch upon all the aspects of the process of creating laboratories – from designing and building laboratory offices, choosing equipment, instruments, providing them with necessary reagents and materials, to providing methodical and informational support of analytic research.

Besides chemical reagents and especially pure substances, analytic and test instruments, visitors' attention will be attracted to laboratory furniture, programmes of training of personnel, working clothes and chemical security facilities, and also field and mobile laboratories of chemical and analytic control. This year a lot of attention is paid to "Bioanalytics", the new section of the exhibition. The topic of the section includes: biochemicals, biosensors, medicament research.

A-TESTex (Analitika) is held in order to create one instrument methodical field, that will unite science, raw material producers, processors, consumers of final production, ecological, sanitary and hygienic and other state and public control authorities. The exhibition will help to draw attention of state structures to the problems of the field will also facilitate implementing complex systems of quality control and activity coordination of various organizations and companies which are engaged in equipping laboratories.

The production, occupying 12, 000 sq. m., will be represented by more than 350 leading companies from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, France, Holland, Japan, Switzerland, USA and Latvia . Among them are such field leaders like "Shimadzu", "Merck", "Labtech", "Liga", "Intertech Corporation", "Fritsch", "Lumex", "Bruker".

Since every year exhibition stands occupy larger and larger spaces; this year such large and well-known companies like "Olympus" and "Carl Zeiss" will take part in the exhibition. Thus, the amount of exhibitors is increased by 1.5 times per year. The high activity of the exhibitors shows how actual the chosen topic of the exhibition project is.

The peculiarity of the year will be also exhibition stands from Germany. Their participation became possible owing to a special German state programme. Competent authorities, federal ministry of economics and technology, and also federal ministry of nutrition, agriculture and consumer protection (BMELV), being organizers of the exhibitions, provide German companies with possibility to take part in the exhibitions, held on the territory of Russian Federation.

As in the previous year, within the framework of the exhibition, there will be held scientific seminars and round tables, that will enable specialists not only to get acquainted with new developments of manufacturing equipment for laboratories and with modern research methods, but will also create conditions for business communication with colleagues and potential partners.
