| EASTEC 2007 The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) recently announced that EASTEC 2007, the East Coast's Largest Annual Manufacturing Event, will feature five shows in one venue in 2007. This expanded event will take place on May 22-24 at the Eastern States Exposition Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts. For 28 years, EASTEC has been the premier manufacturing event in the Northeast, bringing the latest manufacturing equipment and services to buyers. Northeast decision makers from the aerospace, defense, medical, consumer products and other industries can visit one location with all the equipment and metalworking technologies needed to compete both domestically and globally on display. Last year EASTEC exhibits were reorganized in technology clusters by building. The EASTEC 2007 exhibit layout is further refined to make it easier for attendees find the exhibitors, products and services they want to see. All buildings are clearly marked and include exhibitor and technology listings. The event also offers a technology-focused Automation, Lean & Quality Resource Center and programs each day focused on Innovation, Medical Device Manufacturing and Environmental / Energy.
