| Transport 2007  Lorries, busses, vans, trailers, bodies and lots of equipment for operation and maintenance will be in place at Messecenter Herning when the flagship of the transport trade, the trade fair Transport, takes place for the 10 th time in the period 29 March - 1 April 2007. Transport 2007 is one of the fairs where we need to use all our 15 exhibition halls and also have to supplement with stands in the outdoor area in order to accommodate the wishes of the exhibitors. Compared with the Transport fair 2005, this time we have optimised conditions for exhibitors in all the halls.In this way we have succeeded in procuring an additional exhibition area for the many enterprises wanting bigger stands. This means that at this point we have already sold a net area to 250 exhibitors that is a bit bigger than the last time. There is thus every indication that the anniversary edition of the Transport fair will be the biggest and most eventful fair of its kind ever in Scandinavia, says Managing Director Georg Sørensen, Messecenter Herning. Transport 2007 distinguishes itself by being backed by all leading trade organisations within the transport trade. On the organiser side the following are thus collaborating: Dansk Transport og Logistik, DTL, Danske Busvognmænd, Danish Car Importers, the Danish Automobile Dealers' Association and Vognimportørforeningen, which represents the importers of trailers. At DTL we are pleased by the rapid development that has characterised the Transport fair since its start in 1988. The fair has grown in more than one sense. The quality and professional expertise are at the top, and the exhibitors are spread over the entire available exhibition area at Messecenter Herning. And now we are facing an anniversary – the 10 th edition of Transport. I am sure that it will be a fantastic anniversary fair and a good forum for a constructive dialogue between the exhibitors, our members and the rest of the actors within the trade, says Managing Director Erik Østergaard, Dansk Transport og Logistik. For the first time, Denmark is the host when on Saturday 31 March Europe's best apprentice drivers and transport apprentices meet at Transport 2007 to compete for the European Championships. The Danish apprentices, who are among the best in the world, will be defending their European Champion title from this year against countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Holland, France and Italy. I am expecting a very close race with Denmark among the favourites, says Training Consultant Jørgen Jæger from The Transport Training Board of Denmark, organiser of the European championship event.
