| International Fair for Stone It is with a spirit of consolidating success that EXPOSALÃO – Exhibition Centre S.A. is presenting the 3rd STONE TRADE FAIR – International Fair for Stone, Quarrying of Blocks, Sawed Slab and Finished Product, Machines, Equipment, Accessories and Tools. This event will take place from 15 to 18 March 2007. Portugal is the fifth producer in the world of natural stone for the construction industry. With a production of more than 2 million tons a year, it is an extremely important sector for the domestic economy and has significant international standing. ExpoSalão is aiming to contribute to the expansion of this industry from a perspective of ongoing development and innovation, and as such increase the competitiveness of the country. This fair raises the profile of the industry, as it is the only event on a national level dedicated exclusively to the stone industry. Given the results and growth of previous fairs, the future looks particularly positive. From the 1st to the 2nd fair there was an increase of 30% in the number of exhibitors and 50% in occupied area, so expectations for 2007 are clearly high. We are seeking to bring industry professionals together so that products both up and downstream of production can be represented. On display will be machines, equipment, tools and accessories for the quarrying industry and blocks, sawed slab and finished products (coverings for Civil Construction, fireplaces, decorative sculptures and funeral art).
