| The Plastics & Rubber Vietnam Show The launch of the Plastics & Rubber Vietnam show in Ho Chi Minh City from 7-10 March confirms the country's position as a prospective regional leading importer of processing machinery and raw materials. Amongst the 115 companies on show at Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2007 are world leading companies from Asia, Europe and North America with particularly emphasis on high value added technologies, as well as locally based trading companies including Euroasiatic, Melchers and Rieckermann. The presence of these companies at a professional show in Vietnam reflects the increasing attention international suppliers, especially those from Europe, are giving to the market. According to Hans-Jurgen Kaiser, Director Indochina of Rieckermann, based in Ho Chi Minh City: In addition to the 100 plus companies showing processing technologies are leading companies showing raw materials for a wide range of industry applications, including JSP Foam Products from Singapore, Zotefoams and Hyperlast from the UK, PolyOne from Belgium, CP Polyamide from Thailand and Bayer MaterialScience. With 85-90% of raw plastic material being imported into Vietnam (source;Vietnam Plastics Association) this market is increasingly attractive to international suppliers and investors. In the plastics processing industry annual growth is expected to reach 16-20% in Vietnam through to 2010 (source:Vietnam Plastics Association), which is likely to attract a growing number of new to market companies, especially European and Japanese suppliers, who are renowned for establishing extensive servicing networks in the countries they serve. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
