| Fira de Barcelona's International Franchise and Licences Show Fira de Barcelona's International Franchise and Licences Show will be held from the 15th of the 17th of March 2007 in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc exhibition centre. Increasing the number of franchise brands and licences, consolidating the show's internationalism and maintaining visitor quality are the main objectives of this seventh edition. The Fifth Meda Franchise Forum will present various success stories of franchise companies in the Mediterranean region. The seventh BNF include increasing the number of franchise and licence brands to exceed 350; consolidating the show's internationalism with more foreign companies and buyers from the Euro-Mediterranean area; surpassing 20, 000 visits. BNF is the benchmark franchise show for Catalonia and its surrounding area, a market which generates a third of this country's brands. BNF has incorporated other businesses which have synergies with franchising, such as licensing –management of trademark copyrights– which has participated in the show since two years ago. The organisers will continue to promote this sector at the next show. The increase in internationalism is one of the characteristics which define the evolution of BNF in recent years. The Fira de Barcelona show and the Barcelona Cambra de Comerç, Indústria i Navegació in collaboration with organisations such as the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce, the Spanish Franchise Association and ICEX, have opted for the Euro-Mediterranean market as a way to internationalise Spanish franchising. As part of this policy, the Meda Franchise Forum is staging its fifth edition in 2007. This international event, which will be held on the 15th and 16th of March, will present the cases of various franchise companies which have opened successful establishments in Mediterranean countries and will analyse the market in countries with great potential and business opportunities, such as Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco. Representatives of various countries' Administrations, agencies, associations and companies will be able to talk about their ideas and projects to potential partners and investors, sharing experiences, information and resources and contributing to the development of the franchise system. The Mediterranean Entrepreneur of the Year Award will also be presented at the Forum. In addition to a wide range of exhibits –representative of different economic sectors in which franchise and licensing companies operate–, BNF 2007 is again hosting the BNFicio and ACTitud Awards which recognise the effort made by exhibitors in promoting the show and providing quality service to visitors, respectively. BNF will also feature the traditional catwalk which provides textile and accessory franchises and licences with a highlighted setting for their products. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
