| The 40th Munich NUMISMATA The 40th Munich NUMISMATA will take place on March 3 and 4 2007 – of course not any more at the Löwenbräu cellar. NUMISMATA is now located in the M.O.C. the socalled "Münchner Order Center" in Munich – Freimann. Public transportation connects NUMISMATA with the city of Munich. And this is in the interest of its founders. Collectors initiated the first NUMISMATA in Munich: When internet did not exist and low budget coins were not offered in auction sales, the members of the Bavarian Numismatic Society wanted to see the stocks of dealers not located in Munich. They convinced the Munich coin dealers that an international coin show would not be a threat and that the out-of-town dealers would not be competitors, but that a coin show would attract coin collectors to Munich. They were right. Today a gigantic enterprise has developed from small beginnings. NUMISMATA takes place not only in Munich, but also in Berlin and Frankfurt.
