| The UK's Largest Event Dedicated to Offsite Construction Futurebuild is back at London's Earls Court on 27 February – 1 March 2007 with a conference and seminar programme expanded to fill three days and an exhibition more than double the size of the last. Widely acknowledged as the 'benchmark' annual event for 'offsite' and MMC, Futurebuild is respected for its take on the big issues, and 2007 will be no exception. The conference, titled Creating the Capacity & the Capability to Deliver, describes the positive climate for offsite construction, identifies the drivers and the most likely opportunities, but at the same time calls on the sector to assess its ability to make it happen. The conference programme boasts a line-up of the heavyweight speakers you would expect to tackle a debate of this importance, representing all the key stakeholders, such as Corus, Carillion, BRE, Buildoffsite, The Housing Forum and English Partnerships. So anyone attending next February will leave safe in the knowledge that they have engaged this critical debate at the highest level. For those interested learning about the practical aspects of 'offsite' there are no fewer than ten free seminars, including focused sessions for the healthcare, education and social housing sectors and in-depth assessments of methodologies and materials. Together with the hundreds of innovative products to be seen in the accompanying exhibition, demonstration zones and special features, Futurebuild is a great learning experience. As before, Futurebuild takes place alongside a series of sister events – Ecobuild for sustainable design and construction, Cityscape for urban design and the management and maintenance of the public realm, Regenex which focuses on regeneration policy and delivery and - new for 2007 - Building for Health a new event for professionals involved in the planning, design, construction and management of healthcare facilities. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
