Super Market Trade Show

The Super Market Trade Show is scheduled for 28 Feb è 2 March 2007 at Tokyo Big Sight. The 22nd Local Food Fair organised by the Japan Food Industry Centre (JAFIC) and the 5 th Store Development Showî organised by the Home Centre Institute will be held in parallel with Super Market Trade Show.

In 2007, the international show will be integrated with the Super Market Trade Show to benefit from even stronger support and promotion of the JSSA . Through the launch of the International Pavilion, Super Market Trade Show is now on its way to be the biggest Asian trade fair targeted at retailers.

Super Market Trade Show International Pavilion will be the perfect platform for international product suppliers. This is the only fair targeted at visitors from supermarkets and large-scale retailers in Japan . 99% of 20, 000 stores from around 1, 700 supermarket chains send their representative to the event. 7 2 % of the visitors to the previous fair c a me from retailers such as supermarkets, trading firms and wholesalers. Around 77 % of the visitors were either CEO/Board Manager or Responsible manager. As most of the visitors are decision-makers from the targeted industries, Super Market Trade Show is known as a place for active dealings and real business transactions. The International Pavilion will link overseas exhibitors with supermarket chains all over Japan .

The International Pavilion will offer again the ¿Business Matching Program (BMP)î to promote smooth business negotiations between domestic buyers and overseas exhibitors. Consulting services for overseas exhibitors given by t he Business Matching Committee (BMC) - consisting of key Japanese food trading houses and wholesalers - will be the prime function of this program. In addition, the provision of Japanese market information to the exhibitors in advance, and organisation of various seminars for both exhibitors and visitors on-site are planned as support services.
