CTIA Wireless 2007

More than eighty speakers have been selected from over 1, 000 applicants to lead the high level discussions comprising the CTIA WIRELESS 2007 Educational Program. The CTIA Wireless 2007 Educational Sessions are the most comprehensive in the industry, addressing the most important issues facing wireless carriers, mobile device and infrastructure manufacturers, software developers, media companies, and technology enablers.

This year's educational sessions are broken into 3 categories. Technology Roadmap – The tech track kicks off with a CTO Roundtable, where the industry's top tech experts from QUALCOMM, Bechtel Communications, Nokia, Nortel, Ericsson, Alcatel/Lucent and Sun Microsystems will gather for 90 minutes of intense discussion focusing on the outlook for solving a myriad of technical challenges. Other session topics that address technological issues include: location based services, enabling mobile music, WiMax, IMS Architecture, content development, mobile TV, and fixed mobile convergence.

Business Ecosystem – The business track opens with a compelling CMO panel where heads of marketing will address the challenges and best practices needed for taking wireless data to the next level. Other session topics include: wireless Web, mobile television, ringtone royalties, carriers' mobile music and content strategies, common short code case studies, DRM in the distribution of mobile content, and off-portal content opportunities.

Emerging Opportunities in Wireless – The emerging opportunities track will look over the horizon to explore the commercial opportunities created by the "Next Big Thing" in wireless, including user-generated content, mobile financial services, ad-supported content, machine-to-machine case studies, mobile search and X-play strategies (bundled communications services).
