Paperworld 2007

The motto of the next Paperworld, due to be held in Frankfurt from 24 to 28 January 2007, is "Think future!". The 2, 500 or so exhibitors at the top international fair for paper, office and writing products are not the only ones presenting their latest new products and industry-wide trends in a future-orientated way. An innovation-packed programme of trend shows, special promotions and information events will also play their part in making the top international fair of the paper, office supplies and stationery sector the gateway to the future.

The Paperworld trend show is a must for trend- and inspiration-hungry trade visitors. In the surroundings of the Paperworld Scriptum product segment, the trend worlds created by Dutch designer Gunnar Frank offer some welcome assistance when it comes to selecting trendy colours, design forms and materials. The Berlin and Frankfurt based bora.herke design studio company, vividly stages the trends featuring products from the Paperworld product range.

For the second time, the special show "Creative Trends – Creativity meets Design" will offer the trade practical inspiration. Commissioned by Messe Frankfurt, the bora.herke stylists will be presenting the latest trend themes. Anyone interested can visit one of the exhibition desks to request an explanation of the technology and try it out for themselves. For the first time, an information brochure featuring individual trends and design options will also be available to encourage emulation.

Paperworld will be the platform for the design competition for greetings and congratulations cards. The competition is a joint venture between the Federation of German Greeting Card Manufacturers and Printers and Messe Frankfurt. Students at over 200 European colleges of art and design are requested to submit their innovative designs for greetings and congratulations cards. This year, for the first time, in addition to the German-speaking nations and Benelux countries, the competition will also be advertised in England, further enhancing the internationalism of the event still further. An independent jury of experts will be selecting the most innovative designs from all the entries. These will be on show to trade visitors to Paperworld at the Café Card. Fair guests will ultimately have to choose their favourites from the host of creative submissions.

In Hall 10.0 at Paperworld 2007, the spotlight will also be on quality and brand awareness in the nations exhibition area. The Asian High Quality Selection is a grouping of mainly Asian exhibitors, whose high quality products, in-house design and generous product presentations mark them out from the rest. The hall design, with its open-design Central Boulevard and inviting catering zone, blends in perfectly with the new concept.
