MÁRMOL´07 - the International Natural Stone Fair

MÁRMOL´07, the International Natural Stone Fair, will be taking place at Feria Valencia from 6th to 10th February 2007 and will be giving priority to quality. As is usual, MÁRMOL will be running concurrently with CEVISAMA, creating a show of coverings for use in architecture and decoration that is second to none. MÁRMOL´s organising committee considers that its current location in Pavilion 6 at Feria Valencia is perfectly appropriate as it runs right through CEVISAMA. The committee is also in favour of a show where quality takes precedence over quantity as regards both exhibitors and products.

MÁRMOL expects around one hundred Spanish and foreign exhibitors along with a substantial Italian presence, especially of product from Lazio and Sicily. Quality and internationality are thus to be MÁRMOL´s trademarks as the fair shows a select, top of the range product offering.

The event shares not just a common audience with CEVISAMA but also a full programme of events aimed at an audience of architects, interior and other designers. A new event on the programme this year is the Architecture and Design Forum, which takes place on 7th, 8th and 9th February and will be addressing the subject of Architecture and Design for all.

The Architecture and Design Forum will be structured over three days. Day one is aimed at architects and will include lectures by renowned architects Enrique Sobejano and Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, winner of the National Architecture Prize and most recent winner of the Tile of Spain Architecture Award given by ASCER.

Day two is targeted at interior designers and will feature contributions by two of Spain?s most renowned interior architects who are also major award-winners: Lluis Pau and Teresa Sapey. Day three has been devoted to design and will be led by Gijs Bakker of the innovative Droog Design studio in Holland and Francesc Aragall, who enjoys international acclaim and is president of the Design for All Foundation.
