Construmat 2007

The 15th CONSTRUMAT, International Construction Show organised by Fira de Barcelona, will be held from the 14th to the 19th of May 2007 in the Montjuïc and Gran Vía exhibition centre. The latter will have two new pavilions in addition to the four already operational. The overall net exhibition space of the two venues could exceed 150.000 m2.

CONSTRUMAT will showcase products from the overall construction industry and, at the same time, will serve the specific needs of each sector. An example of this is the creation of CONCEPTO BAÑO, International Bathroom Show; an event with the CONSTRUMAT trademark, which will represent the sanitary ware sector and related industries and PINTUDECORA, International Paint Show which is making its debut in CONSTRUMAT 2007.

With an ongoing innovative policy in matters of social housing, avant-garde architecture and sustainable development, at each new show CONSTRUMAT incorporates activities and monographic features which provoke, in the sector, in communications media and in public opinion, the debate needed to find solutions for the future.

Continuing with this philosophy, CONSTRUMAT 2007 will host a new edition of APTM which, on this occasion will focus on "Multi-habitats: polyvalent housing"; and also CASA BARCELONA, the avant-garde architectural space which uses prototypes to show the results of the work done jointly by leading manufacturers and prestigious architects.

The sector dedicated to SUSTAINABLE BUILDING will be very important in CONSTRUMAT 2007. The exhibits in this area, as well as the demonstrations and practical activities, will be very relevant largely due to the decrees approved by the Administration and to the relative solutions available on the market. Renewable energies and their use in housing, the application of the Technical Building Code and other environmental regulations will play an important role, both practical and theoretical, at the next CONSTRUMAT.
