| E‑world Energy & Water On February 6 ‑ 8, 2007, the seventh E‑world energy & water will open its doors at Messe Essen. Over 400 exhibitors from 17 countries, including many global players, will present their spectrums of services. A large number of municipal utility companies will also present their product portfolios. Over 12, 000 visitors are expected at E‑world 2007. The partner country of E‑world 2007 will be the Kingdom of the Netherlands to which particular main focal points at the fair and in the congress will be devoted. Dutch exhibitors such as Shell Energy Europe, Nuon, Essent, GEN Group and KEMA Nederland have already used E‑world regularly for presentation purposes; the gas transport company N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie will be one of the first-time participants. A cooperative booth will give smaller and medium-sized enterprises from the Netherlands the possibility of a concentrated appearance. In the congress, Dutch speakers will impart their knowledge; special aspects of the Dutch energy and water industries will be examined. On the three days of the congress, over 200 renowned speakers will pass on their knowledge in 30 conferences and workshops. The Expert Conference on Power Station Technology will deal with the electricity supply in Europe taking account of the aspects of the energy mix, CO2 and emissions trading. The first German Water and Energy Congress will relate to current political developments in the water market and their effects on the market organisation. After the opening conference, the 11th Expert Congress of Landesinitiative Zukunftsenergien (the Federal State Initiative for Future Energies) will be devoted, in three forums, to the subjects of Solar Thermal Power Stations, Biogenic Fuels as well as Energy-Efficient and Solar Construction. The international matchmaking event which will be staged on February 7 by theorganisersof E‑world together with the European technology transfer network, the Innovation Relay Centres (IRC), will be oriented to companies, universities and institutes interested in technological cooperation in the energy and water sectors.
