The 2007 International Aid + Trade Event

Around 40 million people are currently living with HIV and that number increases daily throughout the world. The issues highlighted at World AIDS Day, December 1st, will be discussed at the 2007 International Aid + Trade Event by key members of the humanitarian aid and relief community for whom AIDS is a substantial issue. The Event, at the Geneva PALEXPO in Switzerland on 24th - 25th January 2007, will bring together aid experts from the public, private and intergovernmental sectors to embrace the word's humanitarian challenges through improved coordination and communication.

Interactive, inclusive and effective, the 2007 Event will include an international exhibition of goods and services, interactive display areas, a broad agenda of workshop panel discussions, learning centre sessions and new to 2007, focus on procurement and meet the buyer sessions.

Workshop sessions such as African Development hallenges, Health and Medical Aid and Corporate Social Responsibility – public private partnerships in practice will examine the huge challenges posed by such health issues as AIDS.

The 2007 Event will be attended by Aid agencies, UN gencies, governments, development banks and the business community, and will offer value to all stakeholders including Project Managers, Procurement Managers, Policy Makers and Suppliers. Together these groups combine to provide a unique audience able to offer a practical, professional and pragmatic experience, aimed at building partnerships for humanitarian relief and development.
