Heimtextil Frankfurt 2007

What do consumers think of the latest textile trends for the home? An initial answer will be provided by the 'Heimtextil goes City' interior-decoration campaign on Saturday, 13 January 2007, when the trends from the world's biggest trade fair for home and contract textiles are taken from the Exhibition Centre into the heart of Frankfurt and the city's interior decorators and furniture, home-textile and bed dealers open their doors for textile events.

In this way, the trends will soon make their way into Germany's living rooms and bedrooms. Customers are invited to gain inspiration from creative ideas for the home between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dealers will also offer practical assistance and, of course, be able to supply the latest products. This is the third time that the consumer campaign has been held during the Heimtextil.

The 27 companies taking part will show customers how they can decorate and improve their homes with fashionable materials and colours. A glance behind the scenes of a traditional craftsman's establishment will reveal how fabrics are transformed into finished home-decoration products with, for example, live displays of loose-cover making, refurbishing old upholstered furniture, using carpets to give a room a new atmosphere, how blinds and curtains can create sophisticated lighting effects at the same time as being easier to use than ever before. Additionally, healthy living and sleeping with intelligent textiles will play a major role.
