Plastex International Exhibition

From 8th –11th March 2007, Cairo International Fair Ground will once again host the tenth international African Arabian trade fair for plastics and chemicals industries and products Plastex 2007. PLASTEX will soon again be the gathering place for over 350 exhibitors and approx. 20, 000 visitors from 25 regional countries of the Middle East and North Africa кegion.

Plastex 2007 is international trade show in the entire MENA region that serves for virtually every sector of the plastics industries. The next version in March 2007 will be the tenth edition of the trade fair, which first opened its doors in 1993 and it takes place against the background of the dynamically developing and ever-growing demands of MENA market..

Attracting exhibitors of more than 35 countries to come to the region from all over the world, Plastex 2007 will not only help in promoting various technological innovations but also make regional MENA visitors aware of the latest industry trends. The MENA region has witnessed an encouraging growth rate in the plastic and rubber industry over the past few years. .Many of the exhibitors participating in the show are tapping the regional market for the first time encouraged by the latest fiscal and legislative reforms and new investment opportunities.

The show is taken place in Egypt, one of the major importers of plastics. The hosting country is strategically located as the trade hub of the Middle East and North African markets and the crossroad between Europe and Far East, thus providing ideal platform for international exhibitors to focus on the regional market.. Almost 83 per cent of Egyptian plastic needs are imported while the rest are produced locally. The forthcoming fair will draw visitors representing all sections of the industry including: importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and traders, government officials, chambers of commerce and industry, in addition to the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade & Industry.
