| The Extensible Markup Language During the week of 4 December, representatives from more a myriad of companies and organizations will meet in Boston at the XML 2006 conference to share ideas about a major web technology. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is best known as the technology behind Web 2.0, blogs, and podcasting, but it is also heavily used in publishing, databases, and enterprise computing. XML 2006 is an annual conference hosted by IDEAlliance: International Digital Enterprise Alliance.
