Vivaness 2007

Vivaness, the Trade Fair for Natural Personal Care and Wellness, makes its début in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg with well over 200 exhibitors from 15-18 February 2007 parallel to BioFach. The modern exhibition hall 7A provides the refined setting for the creative product presentations of the producers of high-quality natural cosmetics and body care products, including the well-known world market leaders. The range of products at the most important international trade fair for natural personal care is supplemented with drugstore articles and – new in 2007 – the segments of natural medicines, wellness, gifts and accessories.

The Vivaness Forum at the BioFach Congress invites visitors to special events on the first three days of the exhibition. The forum will discuss issues such as the trends in the international natural personal care market or the harmonization of the relevant directives. The interest was already extremely lively in 2006, when the 14 events were used by around 550 specialist retailers, beauticians, hairdressers and pharmacists for training and exchanging views.

The new organic consumer is health-conscious and fitness-orientated. Vivaness promotes this trend. The new Trade Fair for Natural Personal Care and Wellness is extending its product range in several segments. The exhibition presents products such as natural remedies, food supplements and medicine products under the overall term of natural medicines. Experts have great expectations of the extensive market segment of health.

It is also true of natural medicine products, however, that not everything described as natural is actually natural. Conventional food supplements, for example, usually contain isolated substances that are manufactured synthetically. This contrasts with the organic industry, where it is usual to use whole plants with all their active ingredients. The secret of the effect frequently actually lies in the combination of the various substances. Moreover, organically grown plants often create more active ingredients and contain no pesticide or fertilizer residues.
