IBF's 14th Annual Biotech Investing Conference

SRI International, an independent nonprofit scientific research institute, announced it is hosting IBF*International Business Forum's 14th Annual Biotech Investing Conference on November 8, 2006 at SRI headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif. The conference, titled "Rebuilding the Pipeline, " is a platform for industry leaders in biotech to discuss early, mid and late investing.

The conference is an industry gathering for venture capitalists, private equity investors, biotech companies, big pharmaceuticals, endowments and foundation executives, corporate strategic investors, institutional investors, licensing executives, and commercial and investment bankers.

At the conference, presenters will discuss the latest initiatives in biotech investing and focus on themes such as Trends in early, mid and late-stage biotech investing, Hedge fund/private equity appetite for biotech, How foundations "bridge the gap": Partnering with VCs and entrepreneurs to fund early-stage biotech companies, Large pharmaceutical company approaches to filling the pipeline, FDA-accelerated drug development programs.
