| FPD International 2006 An assortment of high-resolution transmissive and transflective displays integrated with Clairvoyante's patent-pending PenTile RGBW technology will be demonstrated at FPD International 2006, which takes place October 18-20 at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. Some of the mobile display manufacturers throughout Asia who license PenTile RGBW technology also will exhibit PenTile RGBW panels at the show. The greater mobility and enhanced application sets initiated by the 3G network is expanding consumer expectations for using mobile devices outdoors, challenging displays to meet significantly higher performance standards for on-screen visibility. In addition to PenTile RGBW panels with wide-viewing angles that minimize reflection and glare, Clairvoyante will demonstrate its first-ever transflective PenTile RGBW display, a small-diagonal VGA panel that features reduced power consumption and nearly twice the outdoor viewability relative to other transflective displays currently on the market. Applications such as mobile TV, video, games and mapping in 3G handsets and other mobile devices present considerable design challenges in terms of balancing power and performance.
