Idg World Expo And The (SIIA) Join Forces For Saascon 2007

IDG World Expo, the producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, and the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry, announced that the SIIA's annual Software Strategy Summit will be co-located with the 2nd annual Software As A Service (SaaScon) event. The inaugural SaaScon is being held this week in San Francisco, but due to the overwhelming response from the industry, a larger, more expo-oriented SaaScon event is already scheduled for April 17-18, 2007 at the Santa Clara Convention center.

The Software Strategy Summit is an annual meeting created to address changes and emerging trends within the software industry. The Summit features in-depth discussions on Software as a Service, Open Source and Globalization. SaaScon was created for business and technical professionals seeking to learn about the latest offerings from providers and how they can incorporate SaaS offerings into their business environments. Combined, both events will present an agenda that focuses on three topic areas: SaaS for the Enterprise Deployer, SaaS for the Independent Software Vendor and SaaS as a platform for developers. These offerings will provide all participants in the SaaS community one event at which the issues and opportunities facing each segment can be addressed.
