| Yankee Group Appointed as the Official Industry Analyst Yankee Group announced that the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) appointed Yankee Group as the Official Industry Analyst of their flagship event, ITU Telecom World 2006. The event will take place in Hong Kong, China from 4th-8th December, bringing together the world's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies and decision makers to explore and debate market issues shaping how we are "Living the Digital World." After considering several top industry research firms making contributions in communication technologies, ITU awarded Yankee Group the recognition as the Official Industry Analyst of ITU Telecom World 2006 because of the firm's 35+ years of history and its deep insight into how the communications industry and networks are currently undergoing major connectivity transformations.
