| Hidden universe concealed in glass globes The Singapore Science Centre welcomes into its halls the Visionary Landscapes exhibition from the United States. The new exhibition will be on for a short period from 22 August to 30 November 2006. Inspired by the vast galaxy, Visionary Landscapes is an exhibition of Mega planets, Planets and Inhabited Vases that have been recreated and enclosed in glass orbs. Filled with nebula and other celestial symbols, the glass-encased worlds are the creations of master artist, Josh Simpson. Consisting of many layers and hidden details, some planets contain pastel hues of coral reefs, while others are filled with oceans, skyscrapers, satellites and spaceships created from pulled glass cane. Dustings of gold, platinum, iridescent comments and bubble trails also help complete the entire cosmic effect. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Exhibition News :: home page |
