2006 BiCSI Fall Conference

ADC, announced that it will feature industry solutions for high-performance enterprise and home networks at the BICSI Conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., September 18-21, 2006, at booth #316-318. As part of its exhibit, ADC will conduct a live demonstration to show how new Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solutions power an IP phone and are engineered for uptime.

Uptime is viewed as one of the most critical metrics for measuring communications system performance. Downtime can cost organizations more than $6 million dollars per hour, depending on the industry (Administering Data Centers, by Kailash Jayaswal, Wiley Publishing, Inc.), and nearly 70 percent of all downtime can be blamed on the physical layer, such as cabling and connectivity equipment (Cabling & Installation Maintenance Magazine).

ADC will feature the company's TrueNet Structured Cabling Solutions at BICSI. TrueNet is an integrated portfolio of industry-leading enterprise network solutions combining cable, connectivity and cable management solutions for fiber, 10 Gigabit Ethernet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) copper, and Category 6/5e from the data center to the desktop. TrueNet allows enterprises to future-proof network infrastructures for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), VoIP and Wi-Fi deployments.
