Storage World Conference Unveils Fall 2006 Education Program

Storage World Conference (SWC) today unveiled its focused on storage network professionals educational program for the SWC Fall 2006 event, which will take place at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA, September 19-21. Well known storage experts will conduct 21 tutorials and 18 discussion sessions, which were jointly developed under the auspices of SWC's Educational Program (SWEP) and the Association of Storage Networking Professionals (ASNP), the first worldwide organization for storage networks users.

The educational program includes recognized storage industry experts from a wide range of storage disciplines: industry analysts and press, educators and several instructors who are involved in standards development through industry associations. Topics range from basic networked storage architecture and management to advanced topics, such as optimizing your storage management team and extending storage connectivity over distances.

SWC Fall features several new tutorials. Alok Shrivastava, Sr. Director of EMC Education Services will present the results of a worldwide survey of 1000 end users, along with recommendations for optimizing the storage management team. David Hill of Mesabi Group and Wayne Kernochan of Infostructure Associates will address the timely topic of data classification as the foundation for intelligent information management.

The SWC Fall event will be co-located with the ASNP Summit East, slated for September 20 at the adjoining Seaport Hotel. Members of the press, industry and financial analysts, and ASNP members will receive free admission to both the ASNP Summit East and SWC Fall events.
