Siemens brings digital intelligence to fire safety Press Release 22 June 2026 Smart Infrastructure Zug, Switzerland Siemens brings digital intelligence to fire safety – Siemens’ new Acend Intelligent portfolio transforms fire safety notification into a digital, connected, data-driven system – Disturbance-Free Testing technology and individual device activation reduce manual effort, maximize uptime and enable location-specific alerts – Cloud connectivity, predictive maintenance and remote capabilities pave the way to human-centric autonomous buildings Siemens today unveiled its new Acend Intelligent notification portfolio, transforming traditional fire safety into a digital and connected approach. With the new offering, fire safety notification evolves from a reactive function into a data-driven, operationally integrated system that enhances safety and minimizes operational disruptions. This marks an important technological milestone on the path toward human-centric autonomous buildings. IMAGE: Acend Intelligent Key Visual The new Siemens Acend Intelligent portfolio enables digital, connected, and data-driven fire safety notification. In industry environments where uninterrupted operations are critical, such as healthcare, hospitality, commercial real estate, and data centers, fire safety notification must work reliably without causing disruption. Acend Intelligent addresses this with its integrated Disturbance-Free Testing (DFT) technology, allowing for a system-check without triggering audible or visual alarms. Each device – from horns and strobes to speakers and combination appliances with both audible and visual signaling – can be monitored and activated individually. This makes it possible to see exactly which devices are working and to detect faults more quickly. Facility management and fire safety technicians can check system readiness remotely across all connected devices, reducing the need to physically inspect each one. Even in the event of wiring faults, the built-in Class X isolation technology keeps the system running by isolating faults and ensuring the rest of the system continues to operate. Through its connection to Siemens’ cloud-based Building X Fire Apps, a suite of applications for monitoring and diagnostics, personnel can test systems remotely, anticipate maintenance needs, and reduce manual effort, supporting safe and efficient operations. “As buildings become increasingly connected and digitalized, safety systems must evolve alongside them. With Acend Intelligent, we are transforming fire notification into a foundational technology for these next-generation environments by combining cloud connectivity, real-time data, and digital integration, ” said Peter Nebiker, Head of Fire Safety at Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings. The Acend Intelligent portfolio is designed with resource efficiency and circularity in mind, including the use of recycled materials. It carries the Siemens’ EcoTech environmental product performance label for enhanced sustainability transparency. The portfolio is designed for and available in markets where UL certification standards apply, including the United States, Canada and selected markets in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. Siemens will highlight Acend Intelligent notification at the 2026 NFPA Conference & Expo, June 22 – 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Booth 603. Acend and ISOtechnology are trademarks of Siemens and/or its affiliates in some countries.
