Fifteen ideas are competing for the top spot Of the original 208 entries, 52 made it to the final round. The jury has now selected the fifteen nominees for the bauma Innovation Award. Frankfurt am Main, 18 February 2025 - This is the 14th time that Messe München and VDMA, together with the construction industry associations HDB, ZDB and bbs, will award the prize. The competition started again on May 2, 2024, with the categories Climate Protection, Digitalisation, Mechanical Engineering, Building and Research. Trade visitors to the Media Dialog on February 18 and 19 in Munich will have the opportunity to cast their votes on the spot, which will be included in the overall evaluation. All nominees will be presented at the ICM in Munich on the eve of the opening of bauma on April 6, and the five innovations with the highest number of votes will receive the award. The jury evaluates the entries according to criteria that are crucial for the future of the industry. Key factors include the practical relevance of a solution and its economic potential. In addition, the judges consider the progress of digitalisation, environmental aspects, sustainability, resource efficiency, and the humanisation of the workplace. Since 2007, it has been awarded every three years in this form and is organized jointly by VDMA, VDMA Services GmbH, bauma and the German construction industry's central associations, HDB, ZDB and bbs. The VDMA is responsible for the organisation. The Media Dialogue in February gives the international trade press the opportunity to conduct interviews with exhibitors and find out about new products and processes at "table talks" a good month and a half before the start of the fair. |
