Bouygues Construction to build data centre in Australia

Bouygues Construction, through its Australian subsidiary A W Edwards, has secured a €1.2 billion contract with hyperscale data centre specialist, AirTrunk, to continue delivery of the 400+ megawatts SYD3 campus in Western Sydney.

The partnership will deliver the essential digital infrastructure needed to meet Australia’s growing digital economy. The SYD3 expansion forms part of AirTrunk’s broader investment in Australia, with more than €6.4 billion already invested across four sites and a further €48 billion³ expected for the country over the next decade. The works are scheduled to commence this month, with completion anticipated by mid-2028.
