This cordless jig saw offers users the best in class cutting performance both in the shop and on the jobsite. It produces up to 3,500 strokes per minute with a 1-1/32" stroke length to get the job done faster. With 4 speed settings + orbital action you can select the best speed depending on the wood being cut. The 4-stage orbital action mode makes a noticeable difference in how fast you can cut, especially through thick pieces of wood. The blade moves slightly forward and into the workpiece on the upswing, then slightly backward on the downstroke for faster cuts. For more precision and control, a straight cut mode is ideal especially when cutting angles and details. Plus, the quick brake function stops the blade faster to increase safety and reduce delay for the user. Low vibration enables smooth cutting, while a slow startup speed ensures ease when aligning the blade to the cut line.

When the saw is in use, the auto mode setting enables the speed to automatically switch from 1,400 SPM to 3, 500 SPM, and the variable control feature helps maintain speed. It is the perfect cordless jig saw for carpenters, general contractors, metal fabricators and siding installers. Applications include cutting shapes in various wood pieces, cutting metals like mild steel, aluminum and copper, cutting synthetic resin materials like Bakelite and vinyl chloride, cutting decorative sheets and thin construction materials, as well as cutting stainless steel sheets.

The curved D-shaped handle conforms for a secure grip without being bulky and is comfortable when held in many positions. The soft patented elastomer compound that covers the jig saw absorbs vibration making it easier on the arm, wrist, and hand of the user. The elastomer coating also prevents slippage and provides maximum control over the tool while cutting. This cordless jig saw features a convenient dust blower and LED light to clear and illuminate the cut path so you can easily see. Change t-shank blades quickly and easily for different materials with the tool-less blade change system. The 45° adjustable base allows for angled cuts and the provided hex wrench mounts securely to the base plate for easy access. An included splinter guard is effective to improve the quality of the edges and can be easily removed when not needed.

At only 4.4 lbs, it is lightweight for easy use and sturdy to glide along the workpiece. A lock-on, variable speed trigger allows the user to control the speed to match the application and keep it set without having to squeeze the trigger to operate, preventing numb fingers after extended use. The efficient brushless motor increases runtime and prolongs the tool's life.

The CJ36DAQ4 36V Multivolt Cordless Brushless Orbital Jig Saw is covered by Metabo HPT's Lifetime Lithium Ion Tool Warranty. It is sold as a bare tool (batteries & charger sold separately) and comes with a No. 41 Blade, Hex Bar Wrench 4mm, Chip Cover, and Splinter Guard.
