| BAM: construction sites in Belgium closed In compliance with the guidelines from the Belgian government, Royal BAM Group's Belgian operating companies decided to close down their construction sites as of 18 March 2020. For all projects, contingency plans were established and the necessary measures were identified to preserve the interests of BAM and its clients. In Belgium, BAM has more than 100 projects in progress. BAM is registering the majority of the approximately 1,200 site employees for temporary unemployment, so as to ensure that they will be entitled to unemployment benefits from the National Employment Office. BAM continues to monitor all developments around the coronavirus outbreak in each of its markets and will take decisions and measures accordingly to ensure the wellbeing of its employees and the ability to meet clients' needs. write your comments about the article :: © 2020 Construction News :: home page |
