AECOM awarded U.S. Navy opportunity to support aviation enterprise readiness worldwide

AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy's Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide flexible, ready and rapidly deployable capabilities for aviation systems worldwide. AECOM will compete for task orders under this multiple award, hybrid contract as part of the Contracted Maintenance, Modification, Aircrew and Related Services (CMMARS) program. The contract has a five-year base period of performance with five optional years, and a total program funding ceiling of $12.6 billion.

"Given AECOM's vast experience in supporting the full range of development, operation and maintenance needs of manned and unmanned vehicle operations, we welcome the opportunity to significantly expand our Naval aviation support role, " said John Vollmer, president of AECOM's Management Services group. "We also look forward to continuing our partnership with the U.S. Navy to ensure aircraft readiness for missions worldwide."

AECOM will support the Contracted Maintenance, Modification, Aircrew and Related Services (CMMARS) contract by delivering aviation platform-level contractor logistic support (CLS) including maintenance, modification, aircrew and related services for fixed-wing, rotary-wing aircraft, unmanned aircraft vehicles and lighter than air vehicles, as well as integrally related systems and weapon systems.

NAVAIR provides full life-cycle support of naval aviation aircraft, weapons and systems operated by Sailors and Marines.
