| Subcontractor management cloud for the construction industry Inoapps has launched a comprehensive suite of subcontractor management tools for the Engineering and Construction sector, which complement existing Oracle Cloud ERP software. The new Subcontractor Management Cloud application addresses each stage of the Subcontractor lifecycle, ensuring streamlined, effortless processes for all levels of management and for all sizes of project. Subcontractor management remains one of the major issues within the Engineering & Construction sector. Although businesses typically have solutions in place for finance, supply chain and projects, these frequently do not address certain aspects relating to the management of subcontractor payments, including: • Subcontractor applications and certifications • Management of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments for subcontractors • Management of Retentions • Penalties & deductions • Co-ordination of information across operations, projects and finance Through working with many large contractors over the last 10 years, Inoapps has recognised this gap and created a Subcontractor Management Cloud solution to help fill the void. For Finance Directors the tool delivers full visibility of the financial performance of subcontractors, along with in-depth reporting against budget. The whole business benefits from improved visibility and control of subcontractor costs. This is facilitated by a Supplier Portal, which enables subcontractors to login, make their applications and then track their status as the interactive approval process progresses and eventually reaches agreement. One of the other main draws of the solution is the automatic tracking of CIS payments to HMRC, which enables contractors to streamline this labour intensive activity and avoid costly fines. The solution is built on Oracle's Platform as Service, which enables IT companies to extend Oracle's Cloud platform and applications with their own applications and have them seamlessly co-exist. This delivers a unified user experience. Commenting on the launch, Inoapps' European Region Leader, Andrew Norris noted, "Combined with Oracle ERP Cloud, our Subcontractor Management Cloud delivers an end-to-end lifecycle process management in a single, fully integrated Cloud solution. The application is based on over 10 years' experience of Oracle applications and technology, with our widely acclaimed development team able to draw on its extensive Engineering & Construction sector experience to develop the application. "Whilst this application is fully compliant with the UK Construction Act, it is also ideally suited to supporting international projects too. And, as Inoapps has offices across EMEA, the ASEAN Territories and the US, we are ideally positioned for even the largest global construction projects. Indeed, we have a number of large construction customers who have completed, or are in the midst of, transformational Cloud projects and one of our clients recently went live across 31 countries simultaneously." Inoapps is continually expanding its Cloud solution portfolio through investment in its global Products Division, with the aim of supporting businesses to get the most from their investment in Oracle Cloud. write your comments about the article :: © 2018 Construction News :: home page |
