| Balfour Beatty Far East jv wins deluxe residential development project in Hong Kong Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, today announces that its 50:50 Far East joint venture, Gammon Construction has been awarded a construction contract for a deluxe housing development at Plantation Road, Hong Kong. The total value of the contract is approximately HK$800 million (c.£79m). Developed by Wheelock Properties, the project includes the construction of twenty villas and targets to meet the stringent Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (HKBEAM) Gold standard upon completion. The HKBEAM Gold standard ensures that a range of environmental issues have been addressed in a holistic manner. The project commenced on site this month and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
