| Ferrovial acquires Trans-Former Group Ferrovial, through FBSerwis, has closed the acquisition of 100% of the waste management company Trans-Formers Group from Hossanova. The transaction value is 155 million zloty, equivalent to 37 million euro. The agreement comprises the acquisition of the two companies of Trans-Formers Group: Trans-Formers Wroclaw and Trans-Formers Karpatia. Trans-Formers Wrocław concentrates its activities in the area of collection and management of municipal waste and municipal hygiene in Wrocław, in the west of Poland. The company has a regional installation for the mechanical and biological processing of municipal waste in Kryniczno, with a capacity of 105,000 tons per year. Trans-Formers Karpatia operates the same services in south-eastern Poland, in a region extending from Tarnów, Rzeszów, Przemyśl to Krosno. The company also has a regional installation for mechanical and biological treatment of municipal waste in Tarnów, with a capacity of 50,000 tons per year. As of the end of 2016 both companies employed approximately 300 employees and generated revenues of PLN 100 million. Gonzalo Nieto, General Manager of Ferrovial Services International, has said: "With this acquisition, we strengthen the environmental services division in Poland by increasing the total capacity of our municipal waste treatment facilities to 400,000 tons annually and by increasing our presence in regions where it has been limited so far". In 2016, FBSerwis acquired 80% of Amest Kamiensk, the company that owns the waste treatment plant, located in Ruszczyn, in central Poland. In 2015, the company bought the 100% of Pro Eko Natura, which owned another waste treatment plant and a landfill site in the province of Lower Silesia. FBSerwis Group generated revenues of 178 million zloty (41 million euro) in 2016, a 42% increase over 2015.
