| Vinci Construction UK to design and construct student accommodation at the University of Hull in the United Kingdom University Partnerships Programme (UPP) has awarded Vinci Construction UK, Vinci's subsidiary, a €111.35 million contract (£97 million) to design and build a new accommodation complex at the University of Hull. The new accommodation will feature a range of 1,462 single rooms and one bedroom apartments. It will comprise nine blocks, all within the scale and context of the campus and neighbouring buildings. Construction of the project starts on site in May 2017, with 478 new rooms available for the 2018 student intake and the remaining 984 available in September 2019. The contract is part of a €178 million (£155 million) development at the University which will include an urban green and avenue offering facilities on students' doorsteps including a café, convenience store, laundry facilities and formal and informal outdoor areas. UPP is the leading provider of campus student accommodation infrastructure and support services in the UK.
