| European Coatings Show 2017 with diverse supporting programme  From 4 to 6 April 2017, more than 1,100 exhibitors – the highest number ever – will showcase their products at the European Coatings Show, the largest international show for the paint and coatings industry. Industry giants, specialist SMEs and experts from Germany and abroad will present their innovations for the manufacture of paints, coatings and sealing compounds at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. Numerous exhibitors will use the brief product presentation format to provide information about new developments and products. The European Coatings Show Conference will put the spotlight on the challenges which the paint and coatings industry is currently facing. The ECS navigator and ECS app are useful tools that help coatings experts prepare for their trade show conference attendance.The European Coatings Show will occupy a total of seven exhibition halls, five of which will accommodate raw materials for paints, printing inks and adhesives, construction chemical precursors and associated services. The other two halls will focus on laboratory and production technology, testing and measuring systems, environmental protection and occupational safety. Product presentations deliver expertise at quarter-hour intervals In more than 150 product presentations exhibitors share their expertise on the use of their raw materials and on laboratory, production, testing and measuring technology. The presentation stages in halls 1, 5 and 7 are therefore set to be a focal point for trade visitors seeking fast, concise information about the latest developments. ECS navigator and app facilitate planning online and on site For efficient trade fair planning the ECS app for Android and iOS is available from the app store. It allows visitors to easily conduct exhibitor searches, navigate the interactive floor plan and organise their programme on the go. The "Match!" function also identifies visitors and exhibitors with similar interests. The web-based show navigator not only provides a complete list of exhibitors but also a wealth of information on companies and products and a search function. European Coatings Show Conference: putting the spotlight on the future of coatings The conference programme brings international experts together to discuss the future of coatings. In 24 sessions, companies and research establishments will present the latest research findings and examine new opportunities for paints, printing inks, adhesives and sealing compounds. This year's event will also focus on trends such as sustainable and functional coatings solutions. Lectures by renowned experts will explore e.g. how bio-based products and recycling support the resource-conserving and environmentally compatible manufacture of coatings, or how selfrepairing polymer-based coatings provide better surface protection. There will be two sessions each for the thematic areas "Testing & Measuring", "Protective Coatings", "Polyurethanes" and "Construction Chemicals". Four specific sessions from the European Coatings Show Conference can also be viewed online, including the cutting-edge presentations from the session "Science Today – Coatings Tomorrow".
