CertainTeed launches new luxury line of slate-look shingles

CertainTeed understands better than anyone that a roof is one of the first things people notice about a house. This is why the company is proud to introduce the Belmont shingle collection. Belmont blends the natural beauty of slate with the state-of-the-art performance of asphalt roofing, the end result being a high-quality product that is affordable and immediately adds extraordinary curb appeal to any home. The perfect combination of strength and style, Belmont is available in six dynamic colors that capture the depth and dimension of natural slate - from deep blacks and grays, to rich browns highlighted by shades of ochre.

This layered, dimensional shingle is Class A fire resistant, algae resistant, and comes with a lifetime warranty to provide homeowners added peace of mind. Belmont is available throughout the central and eastern parts of the United States, with a Class IV impact resistant version available to the central states, where harsh weather calls for extra protection.

"We hear more and more from homeowners that they're looking for both beauty and performance from their roof," said Alex Pecora, director of residential product marketing for CertainTeed Roofing. "With our Belmont collection, we're providing the high-end look and luxury feel of an authentic slate roof coupled with the durability our products are recognized for throughout the industry. With each of our collections, our goal is to exceed the expectations of our customers. Belmont does just that."

Belmont qualifies as a component of the CertainTeed Integrity Roof System, a combination of underlayments, shingles, hip and ridge caps and attic ventilation that provide optimal roofing performance and includes an enhanced warranty for all components. All CertainTeed products are put through rigorous testing to comply with industry standards for manufacturing quality, as well as resistance to fire, wind, and tearing.
