| Mott MacDonald to provide engineering services to Alghanim International, Kuwait Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Alghanim International to provide multidisciplinary engineering services for the onshore construction of remote header manifolds (RHM) in the south and east of Kuwait on behalf of Kuwait Oil. The firm's role includes the design of the RHMs and all other associated works. Alghanim International is a Kuwait-based conglomerate with operations in the engineering, construction, power, oil and gas, automotive, investment, trading, shipping, aviation, telecoms, hospitality and real estate sectors. Due to increased exploration activity in the oil and gas sector, the number of wells is increasing exponentially and there is a need to connect more slots to flow lines from the new wells, enabling decongestion inside gathering centres. To meet this demand the company is constructing at least five 18/30 slot RHMs each year. Mott MacDonald will deliver design and detailed engineering of the RHMs for the incoming lines from wellheads to gathering centres. This will include all isolation, emergency shutdown and motor operated valves, pumping systems and metering systems. The firm will also provide process, mechanical, piping, pipeline, electrical, instrumentation, civil and structural engineering services for the associated works. The appointment will last for five years. write your comments about the article :: © 2016 Construction News :: home page |
